How does the TurkeyStone work?
Our patented design takes advantage of the scientific principle of thermal conduction. The Stone sits inside the cavity of a whole turkey during roasting. Its ceramic body warms up quickly, becoming a heat source. Then it cooks the bird from the inside, while your oven cooks it from the outside.
What size turkeys does the TurkeyStone work with?
The Stone works with most sizes of turkey that we cook for the holidays: from about 15 pounds up to 30+ pounds.
Can I use the TurkeyStone empty?
Yes! In fact, when it comes to cutting down cooking times these Stones are even more efficient when used empty.
Will the TurkeyStone work on a grill?
Yes! If the whole turkey fits on/in your grill then the TurkeyStone will work. It will work best if your gill has a lid that closes over the whole turkey.
The TurkeyStone is more sanitary and safe than beer cans and will allow you to keep the bird horizontal throughout preparation and cooking for easier roasting.
How long will it take to cook my turkey with a TurkeyStone?
Experts agree that cooking your turkey to the right temperature, and not relying solely on the clock, gives much better results.
Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature of the turkey (with the TurkeyStone inside) throughout cooking. Important! Start checking the temperature early since the TurkeyStone will cut oven time by as much as 50%!
The USDA advises that turkeys and chickens are done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C. Pro tip: Avoid overcooking by keeping in mind that the bird’s internal temperature will continue rising even after it is removed from the oven, especially turkeys.

Can I still cook my stuffing inside the turkey?
Sorry, the TurkeyStone sits inside the cavity of the turkey so there’s no room for stuffing as well.
But the TurkeyStone will drastically speed up cooking time for the bird, allowing you more oven time for delicious sides like stuffing and more.
What is the TurkeyStone made of?
The TurkeyStone is made of high-quality porcelain ceramic. These pieces are made using a slip-casting technique then fired at temperatures over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit (1,200 degrees Celsius). So the final pieces are strong, lightweight, and resist chipping
The lid has an oven-safe silicone ring to ensure a snug fit.
Is the TurkeyStone dishwasher safe?
Yes! All components are food-safe, dishwasher safe and easy to clean by hand.
What colors are available?
The TurkeyStone currently comes in 2 colors: chili red and classic blue.
